Forensic Experience
Mr. Tov has conducted forensic architectural investigations of commercial buildings, single-family homes and multifamily housing projects totaling thousands of units. He is responsible for the complete range of forensic architectural services, including:
- Reviewing and analyzing construction documents, contracts, and other construction phase records;
- Inspecting and documenting existing building and site conditions;
- Directing and observing destructive testing investigations;
- Coordinating with other investigative consultants;
- Researching building codes, materials, installation procedures and other technical issues;
- Developing repair methods and documentation;
- Coordinating the preparation of estimates of repair costs and allocations of responsibility;
- Preparing and issuing reports of findings and repair recommendations;
- Participating in mediations, settlement conferences and experts' meetings.

Mr. Tov possesses extensive architectural experience in a wide variety of project types. He has specialized technical expertise in the areas of building codes and standards, fire-resistive construction, and materials specifications. Over the course of his career, he has been responsible for design, materials research and specification, supervision of construction document preparation and construction contract administration for a broad range of new construction projects. Mr. Tov's special area of expertise is the analysis, interpretation and application of building codes and regulations, including considerable experience working with building officials.
